CONTEST TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

By registering for the Hack the Future with AWS ("Contest"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

From September 27, 2025 to October 9, 2025 ("Contest Period"), one team comprising of the top 5 scorers of an institution level quiz per Participating Institution as defined below must build an app on PartyRock (https://partyrock.aws/home), based on the problem statements AWS provides to them, and submit it on the specified form for a chance to win one Amazon Gift Card for the team for first prize, one Amazon Gift Card for the team for second prize, or one Amazon Gift Card for the team for third prize. The app must be built on PartyRock (https://partyrock.aws/home) only. Each team must nominate one team leader as the point of contact for their submission. Only one submission will be accepted per team. No changes can be made to the app after it is submitted. Must be at least 18 years of age and live in India. Participants must be enrolled in an AWS Academy Generative AI Foundations course and must be currently enrolled in an institution that fulfills the following criteria ("Participating Institution"):

1. The institution must be an active AWS Academy Member Institute or a participant in the AWS Tech Alliance India; and 2. any AWS Academy Educator from the institution must have created at least one AWS Academy Generative AI Foundations class with at least 50 students currently enrolled. Amazon Web Services (“AWS”), employees of AWS, and their immediate family members and members of their households are not eligible to participate. Limit one entry per person.

Judging Criteria:

All eligible entries received on or before October 9, 2025 will be judged and rated by a panel of 3 qualified judges utilizing the following criteria:
1. Technical Implementation;
2. Problem Solution Effectiveness;
3. User Experience; and
4. Innovation & Creativity.
AWS may use an Artificial Intelligence tool to arrive at a final list of submissions for the panel of qualified judges to judge and rate based on these 4 criteria.

Entries that do not meet the requirements set forth in these Terms and Conditions may be disqualified in AWS’s sole discretion. Winners will be selected by October 8, 2025. Approximate retail value of first prize is $575.00, approximate retail value of second prize is $350.00 and approximate retail value of third prize is $230.00. AWS Promotional Credits are subject to the terms and conditions set forth at https://aws.amazon.com/awscredits/. AWS Promotional Credits have no monetary value. AWS reserves the right to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) for an item of comparable or greater value, at AWS’s sole discretion.

If you are selected as a potential winner of Contest, AWS will contact you by the email address you submit to enter the Contest by October 9, 2025. The prize will be emailed to the email address you provide by October 31, 2025. Failure to provide the requested information or to respond to communications about the Contest within a reasonable period of time, as determined by AWS in its sole discretion, may result in the forfeiture of the prize.

By accepting the prize, you confirm that your receipt is neither prohibited nor inconsistent with any applicable laws, regulations, or binding orders, including applicable ethics or procurement rules, your receipt will not create a conflict of interest for AWS, and there are no ongoing competitive procurements for which your receipt of this benefit could conflict with AWS's execution of the Contest.

The following personal information will be collected by AWS for the Contest solely for the purposes of administering the Contest and verifying participant eligibility: name, city, state or province, country, email address and phone number. Failure to provide all necessary personal information may result in participants’ participation in the Contest being deemed ineligible. AWS handles your information in accordance with AWS Privacy Notice.

A winners list will be available at https://www.ps-events.in/genaihackathon/index.html for up to a year after October 8, 2025. Acceptance of prize by the winner constitutes permission for AWS to use winners’ names or likenesses, and city, state or province, and country, if submitted to AWS, for any disclosures required by law, including a winners list, and for advertising and promotional purposes relating to the Contest in any and all media now or hereafter devised, worldwide in perpetuity (or to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law), without additional compensation, notification or permission, unless prohibited by law.

By submitting your submission to the Contest, you represent and warrant that yousubmission does not: (i) perform or promote activities that are illegal; (ii) violate or infringe the intellectual property, proprietary, or other rights of others; (iii) perform or promote activities that are offensive or disparaging in any manner; or (iv) cause harm to others or to AWS’s operations or reputation.

The Contest is sponsored by AWS. AWS reserves the right to cancel or modify the Contest at any time and for any reason. AWS and its affiliates and licensors will not be liable to you under any cause of action or theory of liability relating to the Contest, even if a party has been advised of the possibility of such damages, for (a) indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or (b) lost profits, revenues, customers, opportunities, or goodwill. In any case, AWS and its affiliates’ and licensors’ aggregate liability under these Terms and Conditions will not exceed USD $100. The limitations in this paragraph shall apply only to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
